This Week on Capitol Hill
Farm standstill: House and Senate leaders bought themselves another week to finalize the details of "the farm bill," the massive measure that covers farm subsidies, conservation and nutrition. We wish we had something new to say, but last week's issues - on how to divide and fund about $10 billion for farmer tax breaks, a disaster fund and food stamps - are the same ones being haggled over this week.
Never too late to sue: Senators may vote to reverse last year's Supreme Court decision on pay discrimination, letting workers sue their bosses after they realize they're being short-changed - not just during the first six months of being hired.
Housesleeping: The House takes a slow week, with a couple of noncontroversial bills on small business support and the Coast Guard.
If you want to let your Congressfolk know where you stand on any of the issues above, you can email them through Congress.org, because...
Hey, it's your democracy too.
